Do I need to sign a long-term contract? +
No. Every plan is month-to-month. You can cancel anytime with 30 days notice. The goal is to earn your business every month — not lock you in.
What's the difference between maintenance and SEO? +
Maintenance keeps your site secure, fast, and running. SEO gets more people to find it. They work great together — most clients stack both. You can start with one and add the other later.
Do I need WordPress hosting too? +
Not necessarily — if you already have hosting you like, keep it. The $25/mo hosting add-on is for clients who want everything managed in one place with optimized WordPress-specific infrastructure.
How quickly will I see SEO results? +
Typically 3—6 months to see meaningful movement in rankings, 6—12 months to really feel the compounding effects. Anyone promising results in 30 days is lying to you. SEO is a long game — but it pays off.
My site isn't WordPress — can you still help? +
Yes. I build on WordPress, Webflow, custom HTML/CSS, and more. For maintenance plans, I primarily support WordPress — but I can absolutely help with site improvements and SEO on any platform.
What does the free assessment actually cover? +
Six things that decide whether AI systems can recommend you: whether AI crawlers are allowed in at all, what your structured data says about your business, whether your content survives without JavaScript, whether it is written in the shape AI answers get built from, whether independent sources corroborate that you exist, and your technical foundation. Plus speed, accessibility, and mobile health. Then a real 30-minute review from me — not just a generated report — with 3—5 specific fixes in priority order. No pitch, no pressure.
Do you outsource any work? +
No. When you hire Blue Gorilla Media, you're hiring Dan Pearson. I personally do all the work — no offshore teams, no sub-contractors, no hand-offs to junior staff. That's the whole point.
What is AI visibility, and why does it matter now? +
More people are asking ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google's AI Overviews for recommendations instead of scrolling search results. Those systems can only recommend businesses they can reach, parse, and trust. AI visibility is the work of making sure yours qualifies: structured data that states who you are, crawler access that lets them in, content they can extract, and independent sources that confirm you exist.
Can you guarantee ChatGPT will recommend my business? +
No, and be careful with anyone who says they can. Nobody controls what an AI model outputs, and reliable measurement of citation frequency does not exist yet. What I can do is make sure you are eligible — that the systems can access your site, understand what you do, and find corroboration. That is the part that is actually under your control, and most businesses have not done it.
Do I still get maintenance and security? +
Yes — every retainer includes it. Updates, daily offsite backups, uptime monitoring, malware scanning, and security hardening are part of all three plans. It is no longer the headline because keeping a site running is table stakes; getting it found is where the money is. Nothing changes for existing care plan clients.
