WordPress runs a huge share of the web because it's flexible and cheap to build on. The catch is that every plugin you install is someone else's code, and hundreds of new plugin vulnerabilities are disclosed every week. Many have no fix on the day they're announced.

Attackers don't pick targets by hand. Bots scan millions of sites for the out-of-date plugin they know how to break. A small business site with a two-year-old contact form plugin is exactly what they're looking for.

Unused plugins and themes removed, PHP brought up to a supported version, logins protected with 2FA and rate limiting, and a firewall in front of the site.

Update carefully

Every update is checked for known problems before it goes live. On Pro and Commerce, major updates are tested on a staging copy first.

Watch for vulnerabilities

Your plugins are checked against vulnerability databases continuously. When something critical drops, it's patched or mitigated within 24 hours on Pro and Commerce.

Back up everything

Daily offsite backups kept for 30 days, hourly on Commerce. If anything goes wrong, I can roll back in minutes.

One page a month: what was updated, what was blocked, how fast the site is, and anything you should know about.

How much does WordPress maintenance cost? +
My plans are $99, $199 and $449 a month with managed hosting included, or $20 less if you keep your own host. Most US maintenance services charge $95 to $395 a month and bill hosting separately.
Is hosting really included? +
Yes. SSL, a CDN, daily backups and a server firewall are included, and I migrate your site for free. If you love your current host, keep it and take $20/mo off.
What if my site gets hacked? +
On Pro and Commerce plans, cleanup is included at no extra charge. Otherwise it's a flat $299 with 30 days of free re-cleanup if it comes back.
Do you just click 'update all'? +
No. Updates are checked for known problems first, and on Pro and Commerce plans major updates go to a staging copy before your live site. If an update breaks something, I roll it back from backup.
My site is old and nobody has touched it in years. Where do I start? +
Start with the $249 WordPress Tune-Up. I upgrade PHP, check every plugin for known vulnerabilities, remove what you don't use, update everything safely and set up backups. Then decide whether you want ongoing care.
Do I have to be in Denver? +
